How much does Marijuana cost?

I know a lot of people who do weed and i just read this chart saying per ounce "commercial" marijuana costs about $80 an ounce. I always thought it was cheap as hell, that's why everyone does it. Is it really that expensive?

Yes, it really is that expensive, and it gets a LOT more expensive. However, keep in mind that an ounce may seem VERY small, but it takes a VERY minimal amount to get high. Just a tiny pinch with most marijuana.



$80/ounce is for very commercial grade marijuana. Often mass-produced Mexican "Brick weed", they call it. Weed that has been heavily compressed into tight bricks, and isn't very good quality. Meaning, the high won't last as long and it won't be as nice.



I have a friend that does the stuff frequently and often pays more than $400/ounce for very good quality marijuana.



It's usually sold in "eighths", or 1/8 of an ounce. Around here, he buys his stuff for $60/"eighth", but it depends on quality, location, the market, etc.



Just keep in mind that an ounce may seem small, but will last an average or occasional smoker quite a very long time- several months in some cases!

Don't listen to the people here who are saying they get an oz for $40, they've never bought an oz of weed in their life.



Price depends mainly on where you live, the quality is generally the some in bud unless you're getting some stuff that has been cured for an excessive amount of time which will be more potent and more experience.



I'm from Toronto so our weed is very good and allow less expensive than the U.S.

1/2 Quarter = $30-$35

Quarter = $60-$70

Half O = $110-$120

OZ = $200-$220

QP = $600-$700

HP = $1200-$1300

Sure, but that's actually on the low end! When I used to smoke, good stuff (seedless - sensemilla) was $300-400 an ounce. That seems expensive, but when you consider that would last 2-4 months, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than drinking or smoking tobacco. Oh, and not having a hangover was a definite bonus! Another thing is that you don't need much of it. Two tokes and you're good for several hours.

Back in the late 60's I could get weed for $20 an Oz. I didn't buy it then either, I'm a cheapskate and don't do the crap. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay almost $600 now for the same ****. I'm taking my cash and going to fancy butcher shops and feeding my face instead with rib eye & porterhouse steaks. With the rest of my money I'm going to travel and drink Courvoisier.
