Does mens facial hair grow faster in winter? I.E. beards?

I have noticed that my beard seems to grow faster in winter than in any other month. Is there any truth to this?

It's just like animals. Even domesticated pets who only live indoors, their hair grows faster in the winter. It's pretty much your body adapting to the temperature change and trying to keep you warmer. When the days do not last as long your body kicks in and grows hair at a faster rate. It's the same was that your pets hair grows into its winter coat when the seasons start to change.
