I am 16 years old, female, 4'11 tall and I'm 85pounds.

I was just wondering if it's possible to overdose on Valium if I am taking that pill alone? Because I read that this kind of pill almost never kill. (Although I wonder why Pete Wentz spent a week in the hospital when he tried to overdose himself with Ativan, a related drug to Valium)
What is the maximum mg of this pill can I take before I overdose on it?

trying to be careful. thanks!

It's difficult but not impossible to overdose on diazepam. I can't give you an exact amount, but how much were you planning on taking? If you can give me a ballpark figure I could probably tell you how safe that would be. Also, do you take it regularly? That affects your tolerance and therefore the dose.

Edit: An occasional 70 mg wouldn't do any harm, but you would likely not remember what happened after taking them. I'd suggest not more than 40 to 50 mg if you don't want to have a blackout. And of course you would need to be in a safe situation and not doing anything potentially dangerous like driving or smoking cigarettes.

Edit: I don't know what FriendlyNeighborhoodDrugDealer is going on about. Diazepam affects GABA not dopamine. But s/he is right about urging caution. Benzos are not something you want to do regularly because they can be physically and psychologically addictive. I assumed you knew this, but thought I'd better add it just in case you didn't.

No. Benzos as a group a rarely fatal unless an added sedative agent is also taken in high amount. Booze, barbiturates, etc. the woƻld or could add to any reducing effects on breathing and BP and that could cause death. Valium alone? No if you are anywhere near healthy .

benzo brings people toward long term thinking. antidopaminergy. you will have this energy naturally if long term thinking is your happy place. but to sing and laugh you need dopamine. dopamine's the excitement and energy that can come from either the right or the left brain and includes suspicion, paranoia, and crying.... only people with low serotoin tend to cry and have problems though. others would just become more social and expressionist and feel in control and alive

you literally have to be a crazy person to want benzos. these people are so into the dopaminergic vibrations of the current moment. these are people who have lied to themselves, leaving them disconnected to their past. they simply cannot trust the world of their own serotonin, the long term memory theyve built their entire lives.

you have to be crazy to want benzos!! but it is a good thing to give benzo addicts their benzos, so they can detach and think so to acheive levels of dopamine again in a natural way that only comes from dramatic life changes which are positive, cognitive, and good godly and remove all regrets and negative thoughts from the crazy person. in some percent of people, this will never happen.

valium is the ataxic parkinsons condition psychogenic death vibration in which the deep part of the brain that is still active in all people regardless of downsyndrome, depression, idiotsavant, etc. is disconnected from motor areas, making it difficult or impossible to initiate voluntary movement, focus, balance. its like this deep all important "you"/final spectator part of the brain is loosing activity and energy, the soul or ego is fading via dopamine. oculogyric crisis, mutism. these people will also be extremly muscle and jaw tone. their dopamine gets low when theyre stressed and they need to raise it by taking amphetamines and getting their work done. these people have a blank stare and dont think with their frontal lobes. like an emotionless old soldier type. but chemical balance is important. these kinds of people can't beatbox and dance and even balance a bike and live in the unrythmic unpredictable guitar solo moment like other people can. that is unless they get drunk, take ecstacy, are thinking on a different level of consciousness than you might think they are, or plain making up lies and such to you. dopamine is back and forth every day. serotonin can take years. they do this crazy long term thinking which is consists of thinking things out beforehand and afterhand, and being consciously present at very different eras than the current era, dreamers really.
