you can't ever get rid of flat feet but you can certainly help the condition by getting the arch supports. i got the arch supports and it makes a huge difference. the podiatrist took a mold/cast of my feet and made the supports for me. they are kind of like hard plastic things that go in your shoes and they support and elevate the arch of your foot. really worth getting. and i have heard that fallen arches/flat feet can be hereditary.

Flat feet (or low/fallen arches) can lead to over-pronation, a biomechanical imbalance that may cause serious problems over time. When people who suffer from over-pronation stand or walk, the arches collapse with every step we take, and the ankles roll inwards. Pronation itself is not wrong as we need to pronate and supinate as part of our gait. Pronation (rolling in) acts as a shock-absorbing process and supination (rolling out) helps to propel our feet forward.

Flat feet or fallen arches may lead to uncomfortable, and even painful conditions such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. The most effective treatment solution for over-pronation is to wear an orthotic shoe insert.
