My house is humid and I have found some mold growth on my shoes and a bag. I was wondering if I stored clothes and other things inside plastic storage bins would they still be able to grow mold or will the mold grow on the outside of the storage bins.

Mold grows on things in the presence of humidity and something to eat. Shoes and bags are leather (yummy) and thus will promote mold growth if there is enough humidity.

Plastic storage bins will only work if you can put enough dessicant (such as silica gel) into them, and they are sealed tight.

You can try putting your things out in the sun, and when they are warm and dry, seal them up. Ziplock bags are pretty good for this. Sunlight kills mold quite well, and dry heat will give you the dry air you need for your package.
