I'm trying to do this new thing where I don't drink soda (caffeine) and I haven't quite decided if I want to go alcohol free as well, but I'm really considering it. It's this new "cleansing" thing I want to do for myself.

I've gone without soda for about 3 days now and the headaches are terrible! I don't know if they're from the caffeine withdrawal but the headaches make me extremely sleepy and I end up napping for hours because of them.

I have a lot going on right now, I just started a new semester in college and need a lot of focus and energy. I'm going to start going back to the gym to release some of my stress and stay healthy...what are some others to stay focused?

How do I get rid of these headaches? Any other advice is welcomed.

excedrin migraine helps quite a bit but the main ingredient is caffeine which is why it works. If they are migraines, prescription Imitrex or Zomig help.

An ingredient in many processed food items could be your culprit. So if you eat on the run a lot, check your food for MSG or monosodium glutamate. I stopped eating anything with MSG in it and have decreased my headaches by at least 95%. When dining out, I make sure they do not use MSG and many restaurants are now proudly displaying NO MSG on their menus.

Check labels, it is crazy what this ingredient is used in, I was shocked but have found many items without. Good luck.

Many humans suppose that obtaining complications is only a typical side of existence. Not so! There are explanations, and fortunately, remedies for complications, even unhealthy ones like migraines. Look into seeing a professional Chiropractor as many complications stim from misalignment within the cervical backbone subject. And if that does not do the trick, you'll additionally see an acupuncturist. Good good fortune!

i agree with getting 'head on'. also, drinking two cups of gatorade will almost immediately get rid of your headaches. i saw it in a medical journal, they conducted the tests and it works. they also have the powdered kind, which you can mix with water yourself. i guess powerade or any sports drink like that will do the trick. it has something to do with the electrolytes and the brain.

almonds, green tea (decaf for you), and coconut, including coconut fats and derivates are also excellent for the brain and will prevent headaches, according to the med research.

u stay focus by always keeping the end result in mind. you get rid of headache by learning what cause the headache. for example i get headache if i did not eat properly. to get rid of it i drink tea, eat, then take a nice long relaxing bubble bath.

saw this one thing just a couple days ago

put pressure on the right point between your thumb and index finger

if you find the pressure point (wich isn't very hard to do) holding it with a bit of pressure should help relieve your headaches
