Why do some adolescents think excessive drinking is NOT worth the risk?

I am doing a research and i need some opinions. Why do you think adolescents think excessive drinking isnt worth the risk?

Excessive drinking is never worth it.

Because it isn't. Some teenagers don't want to damage they're bodies. (hinders growth, kills brain cells, causes liver disease) And some kids don't think its worth getting caught by their parents because I know if I were CAUGHT drinking, I would be dead. But then again some kids like the way alcohol tastes, but are waiting until it's legal. There are a lot of reasons why adolescents think drinking isn't worth the risk.
