i am 17 male and i will be 18 this september.. i really want to be little bit taller. i am around 5ft8, and my younger brother is taller than me. so i feel extremely insecure,worried and depressed. and i have not grow any inch since i turned age 15 or 16.. my dad is 5ft9, and my mom is 5ft3 or 5ft4. i really want to be at least 5ft9 1/2 or 5ft 10.. is it possible? i try to eat lots of healthy foods and vitamins. i also tried running and jump rope. and avoiding lifting heavy weights. can i grow at least 1 or 2 more inch? is it possible? how come i never gain any inch every time i measure my height? i am really worried. i know growth hormone and surgery can help but i don't want to do it.. and i also used 300 dollars on height enhancer and didn't work.. what should i do? am i still going to be grow taller bit? or not?

People have been debating for years if you can gain height with grow taller exercises alone. I haven't actually heard of Grow taller 4 idiots, but I have heard of a couple of methods that increase your height.

I've asked this question to my doctor and he said there are many process available, but there are only a few that actually work. He said that you could go with a lengthening process or get growth hormone injected bi-monthly.

The lengthening is a half a year to a year long process in which you have metal clamps screwed into your legs. First the doctors will break both your legs and screw the mechanism on to you. I grew 2 inches after the age 17. One brother grew 5 inches after 17, another didn't grow at all.

Get sleep and eat well. Otherwise it's in the genes. Be happy with yourself either way.

Height is mostly determined by genetics, but you can maximize your growth potential. You can add abou 5 inches to female height to compare to male. So your dad is 5 9 your mom 5 8. You should be about 5' 8.5". Up your intake of healthy fats and protien. Also do not eat carbs before bed as they will blunt the secretion of human growth hormone. You can also try to maximize your growth hormones by taking a zinc magnesium supplement. Take 30mg of zinc and 400mg of magnesium 30 minutes before bed everyday.



Also, most importantly, the more you sleep the more natural hormone secretion you will experience, so long quality sleep is improtant.



It might not be possible to grow 1 or 2 inches but good luck !

I think you shouldnt feel insecure, YOu can start bodybuliding and made some muscles you will see that you will have a great self confedence and you will be ok.

it's all genetics man. chances of you growing another 1-2 more inches are slim, sorry. but hey you never know. but honestly 5'8" isn't a bad height. it could be worse...you could be 5'6"-5'7" and be done. try out some yoga as well, it helps stretch and elongate the body/muscles.
