I don't think my glasses are right anymore! I got them in 5th grade and in a month I will be going into 8th grade, i haven't had my eyes checked since this date. My glasses help only when I look out the corner, I need help seeing the whiteboard (or like objects... i.e. reading far away) when i look out normally they don't help!!!! If I do need new glasses how do I tell my parents? I live in Sydney, Australia and the dollar is really bad so everything is expensive as well!!!

Your alternative to getting new glasses would be to try an eye exercise program to get your vision back to normal, or at least to the point where your current glasses are working well.

Go to a library and check out some books like the Bates Method.

You do need new glasses. You need to check your eyes at least once a year [or two years the most] because your vision changes through the years. And I guess the only way to tell your parents is to tell them that you're having difficulties with your vision and that you need a check-up, and it'll go from there because the optometrist will tell them that you really need the new glasses.

Get some new ones because your vision might be worse than in 5th grade. make it happen
