What happens if you hold your pee in?

I held my pee in last night because i was so tired that i didn't want to get up. This morning when i went to the bathroom it was hard to pee it hurt a lot. Now my stomach is hurting and i still feel like i have to go. Im very worried that something is wrong with me. What should i do? thanks

You can get a UTI from holding it too long because bacteria can build up.

Even worst after holding it in repeatedly, the muscles down there will lose their strength so when you're older you will no longer be able to hold it in. That's why some old people wear diapers....cus they can't hold it in.
