I am 31 years old and love to eat spicy food. The only problem is, I'm finding that the older I get, it seems to pass right through me and burns really bad on the toilet the next morning. It seems as the older I get, the worse it gets. I used to be able to eat hot wings no problem, but now it's like I have to plan for the pain to eat them. Is this normal the older one gets?

Welcome to bland mashed potatoes and peas, gramps :)

You might want to consider digestive enzyme tablets- those could help. Lots of people have more difficulty with digestion as they get older. Another possbility might be a probiotic since over the years, people tend to lose the beneficial flora in their digestive tract, especially if they've taken antibiotics at some point (and who hasn't)?

Enjoy the chicken with chili garlic! :)

yes your system isnt so young anymore...its probably burnt up from all the spicy food you had in the past and is telling you to let up! lol i have even found that the older i get, the more heartburn i get from foods like tomato sauce and orange juice, which i never had before.
