my dog sassy is almost 12 years old and was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure. she refuses to eat her dog food "Ia ms" for small toy dogs. she is pecans and yorkie and weighs 15 pounds. ive been feeding her carrots, green peppers and cheese because they are good for a dog as well as a person and she will actually eat them. i don't know what else i can feed her that wont increase her chance of dieing from the heart failure, but will increase her health. she also has problems with her lungs and liver and has arthritis. also what kind of exersize should i be making sure she gets? is there something that will really help her and make her live through the heart failure longer? plz tell me everything u know i love sassy so much and i want to do everything i can to help her live longer, healthier, and happier.

Dogs can eat baby food. Get Stage 2 Gerber baby food in chicken, beef, or turkey and heat 1 jar in a microwave safe bowl for about 15 seconds. Sassy will smell it when its warm and therefore its more enticing. She can also have pedialyte for babies to drink. Dogs can't drink Gatorade or Powerade! As far as exercise, try short walks around the house and doggie massage. Gently rub Sassy's legs and back with your hands. She'll love it.

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out this video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

Maybe some boiled chicken and rice mixed together diced. But check with your vet first, maybe asking these questions to the vet.
